There are a couple of programs to take Symbian .sis installer files apart so you can see what's inside them.
But there's no need to install anything on your computer, because you can also analyse .sis files online: whatisinmysis.com tells you which files in the .sis or .sisx wil be installed where on your phone, and who signed it with which certificate. Just upload your file and let the site analyse it for you.
If you can't install a .sis or .sisx, whythefuckwontmysisfileinstall.com will tell you what's wrong with it.
