The built-in calculator of Symbian S60 lacks many features. The S40 calculator is much better: it includes a basic calculator, a scientific calculator, and a loan calculator.
Nokia Beta Labs turned the S40 calculator into a mobile Java application so it works on just about every Nokia out there. The latest version has less bugs, and now works on the Nokia N96 too. It also works on Samsungs and probably on other phones with a QVGA (240x320 pixels) screen that can run mobile Java programs.
And this is where it ends. At least for Nokia Beta Labs. In typical Nokia speech, the calculator will be "productized" to be built into future phone models.
