Nokia killed Symbian. Many links to Symbian apps on this site have expired. Check out Android Underground.

Not just for Symbian: IM/VoIP/Skype/etc. program fring now works on mobile Java and Linux too

Ultraversatile multi-network instant messenger program, GMail notifier, VoIP application, Skype client, and Facebook tool fring is not just a Symbian program anymore. It also works on iPhones and Windows Mobile handsets, and now that fring has a mobile Java and Linux version just about any phone is suitable to run fring.

Just like fring for Symbian, the Linux version of fring has the full fring feature set. The minifring version for mobile Java doesn't run every fring feature (yet).

Update: fring is no longer a multi-network messenger. They kicked 'em all out, fring now only works on it's own fring network. My advice: don't use fring.
